Welcome to The Ocean Drive Motel.

To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all, we kindly request that you review our Dog policy below. We are Dog friendly (all breeds and sizes). We ask that your Dog is also friendly if you intend to stay with your furry mate at the Motel.

We are not PET friendly and do not permit any other type of animal.

Bookings made with your Furry Friend as companion must be for a minimum of 2 nights. We have applied this restriction to ensure allowing your furry friend to stay with us remains viable. The vacate cleaning of our pet friendly units take twice as long as normal vacate cleans. This is to ensure we maintain our high standards of cleanliness and avoid cross contamination of any items. Therefore a 2-night minimum stay applies.

BONDS

The Dog Bond per room is $250. This is separate to the Guest Booking Bond.

The number of Dogs allowed per room is a maximum of two small / toy/ miniature dogs under 5 kilos per dog or one medium to large dog

To ensure the safety of our guests and furry friends, a copy your Dogs vaccination records will be requested upon confirmation of booking. This must include evidence of vaccination against parvo virus and kennel cough. We recommend that you also treat your best mate for parasites before staying at the Motel. This will help us ensure we stay healthy and can continue to offer this service to responsible pet owners.

You are responsible for your Dog at all times. Dogs should be well behaved and always kept on a leash or in a carrier when in common /communal areas.

You must not leave your dog unattended at any time during your stay.

Please be mindful of noise disturbances caused by your Dog. We accept strange environments may cause your Dog to bark, but we cannot allow excessive barking. If your dog excessively barks, you may be asked to leave the premises without a refund.

Dogs must not be left unattended in rooms at any time, if a Dog is left unattended in a room the Ranger will be called to remove the Dog, and the Dog can be retrieved from the local facility at your own cost.

Dog owners are financially responsible for any damages resulting from you Dogs’ behaviour - this includes allowing your Dog[s] in or on the beds.

Excess Dog hair found in the rooms or evidence of Dogs being allowed on (including in) the beds will result in extra charges. Minimum cost of extra servicing is $70 in excess of forfeiting the Dog Bond.

A disposal bin for Dog faeces is located on the common grass area between the Units and the Motel. All deposits must be adequately contained and secured in compostable pooh bags.

The ‘FOGO’ Green bins can be used to dispose of your used pooh bags. This bin is located at the front of the Units.

Any failure to clean up after your Dog will result in our Motel no longer being Dog friendly.

Your dog is not permitted within the main Motel Complex. This is for the comfort of Motel guests. We ask that you do not walk your dog through the Motel to the Beach. Please use the public right of way through Greensell and William Street.

No dog linen or Dog items are to be washed or dried in the Guest Laundry.

By bringing your Dog to our Motel, you agree to abide by this Dog policy.

Please be mindful that not all our guest are Dog lovers, but all our guests have a right to a comfortable, quiet and enjoyable stay.

Any deviation or non-adherence to the Policy will invoke immediate cancellation of your booking and no refund will be issued.

The above policy will be reviewed and updated as necessary and is subject to change at any given time.

Now what you can do!

On request, we will provide an old sheet or blanket for your companion to sit beside you on the sofa.  We know you’re going to get them up there for a cuddle, so we ask that the sheet/blanket provided is always used.

The Beach directly to the left of the Motel is Dog friendly all year round. Bunbury City Council provides Bags and disposal bins. There is a shower block to the right of the Motel with outside taps to wash off your furry mate. Please use old linen provided (on request) to dry your Dog. Do not use Guest Towels.

The Dog Friendly Units all have an enclosed courtyard for you to sit outside with your Dog.

There is an enclosed grassed area for you and your dog to stretch your legs a little further.

The Hollow Beach Bar and Grill is Dog Friendly in their undercover outside seating area.  The Bar is less than a minutes walk door to door from the Motel.
